About Us

My Journey

Her employment history

Life is full of adventures.  My life included. As the saying goes, when life gives you lemons, make some lemonade.  That is exactly what I did a few years back and I am now living my passion of helping caterers improve profitability by maximizing cash flow and streamlining expenses.

I’ve been in this industry for fifteen years. My professional journey started by earning my business management degree from New England College of Business in Boston. I attended school while working towards my degree. I built my accounting skills by working at businesses by helping with collections, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll tax analysis.

I started in the corporate world helping people understand the value of good financial health. After a major professional challenge of trying to juggle working and being a new mom, it seemed like the right time to quit my job.  I decided to be a stay at home mom for the time being which was great because I bonded with my son.  I still felt that something was missing – I wanted to do something that I was passionate about.  I started to look at work at home jobs and bookkeeping kept popping up so I took a leap of faith and went for it.  After completing the course, I knew this is exactly what I wanted to do!

I had a role model: my mom.   My family & I came to the United States when I was little – none of us knew English.  My mom wanted more for her family so she opened her own alterations shop shortly after living in the United States.  Even though, she didn’t know much English but she had the drive to help support her family.  Her drive made me want to do the same for my family and build my very own business.

Now, I help support my family.  My young son sees his mother helping people learn and he also sees me supporting the community through my business, Bookkeeping Towne.

Our Why

Dolly Towne founded Bookkeeping Towne because she recognized the pain business owners go through with their bookkeeping and finances. From keeping vendor receipts organized to making sure inventory is efficiently maintained, Dolly knew that you can truly give a man a fish and they’ll eat for a day, but teach them to fish and they’re self-sufficient for life. That’s why at Bookkeeping Towne you are empowered with the knowledge, trust and skills to make the important decisions in your business.
