IT’S BEEN A WHILE SINCE I WROTE A BLOG SO LET ME REINTRODUCE MYSELF……
Hello there! Nice to have you here. My name is Dolly. I’m a bookkeeper who helps & educates businesses grow, thrive & understand their businesses again. Formerly, I was a payroll tax analyst for about 15 years but add juggling a new baby to that mix – well, that kind of got a little hectic for me. In November 2018, my son was 8 months old
and I just couldn’t juggle being a payroll tax analyst (the W-2 process was intense), being a new mom, a wife and FORGET having a social life. So, yes, I quit my “safe cushion” corporate job to have more time with my son but of course, I got a little bored (he slept a lot) and wasn’t really sure what to do. Should I go back to corporate & go through the same thing or something else?
You guessed it…..I chose “something else”! I researched like crazy for work at home jobs and the majority of my research’s results was Bookkeeping. So, I went for it & applied for the online Bookkeeping Course which was the start of something wonderful……that’s how I launched Bookkeeping Towne on March 3, 2019!!
At first, I just wanted to fill in the time while I was watching my son but it became much more than that. I started collaborating & networking with so many people that I was presented with an incredible offer from Hope & Main. If you haven’t heard of Hope & Main in Warren, RI, they are a non-profit food incubator organization that helps hundreds of food businesses in a program to help them with creating, managing & understanding what it takes to have a successful food business. I collaborated with them back in June of 2019 and I can say that I have helped several food businesses from Hope & Main and other referrals, as well. I am very passionate about educating business owners about their bookkeeping, how to attain financial security, getting their time back and most importantly, regaining control of the business again!
Fast forward to 2023, Bookkeeping Towne is growing & expanding…..I offer an array of packages & services which include monthly bookkeeping, QuickBooks Tutorials, Sales Tax Management, Payroll services, Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Management, Monthly Financial Statement Reviews, Budgeting & Forecasting, Inventory Management, etc. (thanks to Covid).
On March 3, 2023, Bookkeeping Towne is getting an upgrade…..with the expansive growth with our food business clients, we will be rebranding a division of Bookkeeping Towne specifically to the food industry along with it being my 4th anniversary! Interested in attending our celebrations?

Food is what got me started on my journey to help others with their bookkeeping. So, I would like to give back to TWO wonderful non-profit charities in a cash raffle, with two raffles winners as well.
Hope & Main has been a big aspect of my entrepreneurial journey! I partnered with them back in 2019, and that is how I started helping food businesses. Because I loved their story, I wanted to partner with Hope & Main. They are devoted to empowering an inclusive community of entrepreneurs to jump start and cultivate thriving food businesses.
Along my journey, I met with another wonderful non-profit organization called We Share Hope, who provides food and other necessities for those who need it most in the community. It’s so admirable of what these two organizations have done over the years to help their communities!
