August 15, 2021 Edition

I launched my business in March of 2019 and it only took me about 2 months to meet my productivity coach, Margo Crawford!  The first time I met with her, I was at a networking meeting and she was a special speaker that day.  I was so glad to not have missed that meeting, because I would not have met her & felt so captivated by her teachings.  That same day, I signed up for her E-Newsletter & Blog and took advantage of the Free Consultation that she offered to all the attendees.  After speaking with her at the free consultation, I decided to sign up for her 6 week session – I thought this would be a wise decision for someone that is just starting out.  I felt like I needed to be productive and she was the one to help me.  At every session, I learned something new about being “productive” and about how I work.  At times, I was fighting with myself on how to work.  There was “homework” after every session and she made sure I did them before the next session.  It was great!  I needed that kick in the pants!  She was one of the first businesses that I hired to help me work better and boy, did that help!!

Let me introduce you to Margo Crawford, Productivity Coach at Wave Productivity where she helps people acquire the business productivity tools necessary to reap the rewards of being focused, organized and productive.

Margo Crawford, Wave Productivity

While getting to know Margo, I had the privilege of asking her a few questions about herself & her business….read on to learn more about this interview:

  1. Why did you pick this trade, in particular?

The field of organizing and productivity chose me. It all started when I helped a friend get organized, so many people saw a change in him that they wanted it too. Then people started paying me for it. It was amazing, I loved what I was doing, and it was transforming people’s lives. Early on in my career, I gained more training in understanding clients productivity challenges and how to run a business. About 7 years ago, I received training and got certified as a Productivity Coach. It’s been fantastic to serve my clients and watch them become more focused, organized and productive.

2. What are the top three reasons why a business owner should invest in your service/product?

Many of my clients have gotten promotions, awards and even increased sales by 30-50%. That type of recognition is great. More important than accolades are how they feel at work. My clients are motivated and more in control of their workday. Before coaching, the feeling of overwhelm, stress and overload consumed their day.  After coaching, they feel more present and thoughtful in how they approach their work. My clients are happier and less stressed.

3. What do you love to do in your spare time?

In my spare time I love to surf. I’ve been surfing for 20 years and have been lucky to travel all over the world searching for perfect waves. It’s why I named my business Wave Productivity. I took the two things that I loved catching waves and productivity. It speaks to what happens when clients first coach with me. They feel like they have to hold back the tide of work overload. They are stressed out and overwhelmed while waves of work crash around them. Together, through coaching, we learn to get past the waves and surf through the day.

4. Are you involved in any organizations?

Break Through Waves is a non-profit and I am the President and Founder of the organization. At Breakthrough Waves, adults learn to lead lives of balance in mind, body, and spirit. Together we harness the healing force of the ocean through surf therapy, yoga, and mindfulness.

A two hour session is free to adults who are looking for alternatives to wellbeing. This program is specifically designed for people who have experienced trauma or who have been diagnosed with PTSD. We offer a holistic path to the wellbeing of mind, body and spirit. Our programing combines yoga, mindfulness, breathing, surf therapy or stand up paddle boarding, and beach hikes along with education and information about trauma and PTSD. Go to www.breakthroughwaves.com for more information.

5. What is your ideal customer?

Our specialty is working with Certified Public Accountants, C-Level Executives and Serial Entrepreneurs. Each one has different needs relating to productivity and the work that they do. There are a variety of clients beyond our target market that we work with to help them get focused, organized and productive.

Working with these specific groups of professionals allows for a deeper understanding of their work. It also means that together, we can drive our coaching to successful outcomes in an efficient way.

It is a goal that everyone has better days at work. I can work with you to address your productivity challenges and help you to get the important work done.
