GUEST BLOG: MM Website Design, Lisa Markovich

In business, I learned that collaborations are key for survival! I can truly say that it’s the collaborations that I have made over the past few years that got me to
where I am today. One of those great collaborations happened to land in my lap about a year ago in a group called Amplification Allies which was created by Dennise Kowalczyk. It is a small group of women where we “amplify” each other’s businesses & posts on LinkedIn. We all help each other in one way or another. In this group of women, I have spoken to Lisa Markovich who is the owner of MM Website Design and I am here today to tell you how she has transformed the way I do things…….

Without further ado, let me introduce you to her! Lisa is more than just a website designer. In our monthly group call, she shared that she helps with video editing and that really intrigued me at that time. I decided to reach out to her in the summer of 2022, because I was looking for a bookkeeper to hire & wanted to create a video to capture who I’m looking for. She gave me a few pointers on how and what to record, what pictures to take & what to say. I loved it and have had some great candidates where I was able to hire a
bookkeeper. Mission accomplished!

What are the top three reasons why a business owner should

Why did you pick this trade, in particular?
I’m a very creative individual and helping people is something I love to do. Being a website designer allows me to do both.

Who Inspired you – professionally?
My sister Kim, who has been in business herself for over 20 years as a
photographer and life coach. When I found myself looking for work, she gave me the inspiration and courage I needed for me to face the fears I had about starting my own business, which was the best thing that could have happened to me on a professional level.

What do you love to do in your spare time?
I love singing and playing guitar and performing LIVE, hiking and boating with my husband.

How do you describe your entrepreneurial spirit?
I’m a problem solver and love when I figure things out. I like to think outside the box and be as unique as possible, allowing me to improve upon my craft.
